She was born in Iuka, MS to Hamp and Henrietta Brown Boyd and was a caregiver. He also attended Northeast Mississippi Junior College where he completed his vocational Construction Carpentry degree. He is survived by his wife Jannis Strawbridge; children, Adam Porter (Dora), Joy Wood, Jeremy Porter and Christopher Porter; brother, William Otis Strawbridge; sister, Betty Smith and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed sewing and created beautiful quilts. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, drawing and playing his guitar. She is preceded in death by her son, Scott Conwill and her father. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. He was born in Tupelo, MS to Gilbert and Mary Montgomery. She knew her patrons and their preferences so well that she would often gather reading material for ones that were sick, and a spouse or friend could just pick it up. Visitation will be Friday, January 7, 6-8 p.m. at Liberty Church of Christ. BELMONT, MS Teddy Harold Burkhalter, 72, died Friday, December 3, 2021 at his residence. She was retired from Golden Manufacturing Co. in Golden, MS. She joined Carters Branch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she served faithfully as a choir member and chairperson over the Mothers Day Programs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ester Brown Powers and a grandson, Russell Henson. He was a farmer and member of Liberty Church of Christ. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 28, 4 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church with Bro. She loved her children and the love for her family grew with her grandchildren and great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Ruthie Mae Holt, two brothers, Tom Holt and Leon Holt and a sister, Patricia Holt South. TISHOMINGO, MS Jeffery Don Bonds, 60, of Tishomingo, Mississippi passed away January 14th, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc. She graduated from Belmont High School in 1978 and married her sweetheart that August. She was born in Lakeland, FL and was a Certified Nursing Assistant working in nursing homes. He is survived by a sister Kathy Robinson and her husband, Mike Robinson. Services will be Saturday, August 21, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Haskell Sparks officiating.
